Opinions, please!

I started registering for some baby stuff last weekend, and we only got through the bedding because it was so overwhelming. I didn't even know what half of the stuff was! I think I'm going to need to take my mom with me next time so she can help me decide what I need and don't need (and explain what some things are)!

I decided the decorate the nursery with Winnie the Pooh because A. I love Winnie the Pooh, B. I used to collect Winnie the Pooh stuff and I already have lots of accessories that would work and that I'd like to bring out of storage, C. It could be used for a boy or girl just in case there was a mistake when they read the ultrasound, and D. Eric's nursery was decorated in Winnie the Pooh when he was a baby (this isn't actually one of the reasons...just more of a coincidence, but it makes him feel more like he was involved in the decorating decisions :)). Here are some pictures of the bedding/decor:

This is where you come in....

I want to go ahead and paint the nursery before I start moving furniture in there (we are buying new bedroom furniture and using some of the old furniture for the nursery). What color do you think I should paint it?? I was originally thinking green, but there is a ton of green in some of the accessories, and a lot of the extra blankets/sheets I registered for are green....so now I'm not sure what color...maybe yellow?? Help, please!

You're having a girl, right?

I would go for cream or pink, or maybe even both - it would bring some of the girlie out. Yellow/blue or green/blue seem more boyish. And, because there's a little, but not a lot of pink (piglet) in the bedding, it wouldn't be too obvious to go pink.

After seeing the bedding and accessories, I would like to suggest the grey (same as in the photos).

This is a rich neutral color and will make the colors (yellow, greens etc) in the accessories really stand out.

Also it is a color that will last over several changes in decor over the years.

Hope this helps. I also have a lot of ideas outlined in my site www.decoratingideas4kidsrooms.com

This is a wonderful experience. Enjoy every moment.

We have the same bedding for our baby. We painted the walls a light yellow and the ceiling blue. It looks great with the bedding.

Have you painted yet? If not I might go with a yellow :)

If you haven't painted yet, given that there are blocks of lovely colours in the design, I would go a little crazy and do one wall green, one blue and two yellow. Which would still be a good base for flowers and cute puppies if the baby is a girl. x
